This if my first zine! I completed it September 21 2026. The area I exist in currently really underwhelms me and concerns me politically. I hope people realize this midterm election that their individual vote matters and that midterms can be influential/aren't worth ignoring, especially in today's political climate. I kept the text simple and less like the usual punky zine style I see online for the sake of legibility with the elderly in mind. I hope to do cooler looking zines in the future, but it didn't fit the goal for this PSA zine. Please print it and spread it around if you'd like, and feel free to copy my design for your own zine! I hope others will make similar zines updated to their area's information.

Also, I had a really weird experience when making this zine. I was really inspired by the 2 climbers who scaled the empire state building to fly their flag, which reads "When the power of love beats the love of power the world knows peace." When trying to find a good image capturing the full flag in which the text was entirely visible, I discovered (alongside the meme images with obviously edited flags for the sake of comedy) that many people had posted slightly edited images that were ultimately the same, except the text on the flag was a slightly different font? I'm not sure if anyone else saw that, but it didn't make sense to me why people would edit the image, making it inaccurate to the actual moment, just to make the text slightly clearer/in just a slightly different font, like just the r's and another letter were different if I recall. It was really weird/unnerving/confusing, and I can't find any of the pictures anymore (at least not as quickly). I ended up just taking a frame from one of the news helicopters to be sure it was accurate/real.
